Pumpkin Patch 2010

Who doesn't love a pumpkin patch? The kids and I have an annual tradition of going to the pumpkin patch. We love to get pics in front of the "This fall I am this tall" sign. I have pictures with this sign as far back as when Hailey was 2 years old! We went to a different pumpkin patch last year, so we missed this sign. The kids were as excited as I was to see the sign again!

Every time we leave the pumpkin patch, I let the kids pic out a couple of 'mini' pumpkins. This is one of their favorite parts!

Trinity Homecoming Parade 2010

Every year, Hailey's cheer team has gotten to be in the Trinity Homecoming Parade. The first year, the football boys rode in the back of a truck while the girls walked (well most of the time we ran!) behind them. Last year, the girls and the boys rode together. This year, we were told that the kids were too little to walk so they had to ride in a truck. So the girls were in one truck and the boys were in a truck behind us. The parade moved very fast this year. It seems the city thought that in past years, the parade took too long. They don't like having to block traffic for that long. It almost seemed this year that we waited longer for the parade to start, than the actual parade itself! But all the kids had a blast! Thanks to Trinity for allowing us to be a part of their homecoming again!

It seems that we have started a tradition that after the parade, we go eat at Chicken Express. The kids know this and were asking for Chicken Express before we even started the parade! This year when we got there, the Chicken was out visiting the customers. Of course we had to get a pic!

Snow White @ Casa

We got Season Passes to Casa Manana this year and Snow white is the first show for us to see. We were all excited! Hailey loved dresssing up as Snow White! It was a great play and we all had a fantastic time!

Karate Kid

I can hardly believe it's striping day again! Harris is doing so well with Karate! He did great today. He paid attention and was very loud. We are so proud of him. I think this is his last stripe on this belt and next time he will get a new belt! Way to go Harris!

Spirit Day

This week our Bills Cheerleaders had Spirit Day. We painted their hair and faces purple. They wore purple beads and sunglasses and curly ribbon in their hair. (Even Harris got into the fun!) They were adorable! They cheered loud and the Bills football team won again! Way to Go Bills!!

Harris is sporting his purple! (I need to find him a purple shirt!) He is great at the games! He has learned the cheers and jumps in occasionally! All the girls love him and let him join right in!

Honey's Birthday

One week after Hailey's birthday is Honey's birthday. She loves fish so we took her to one of her favorite places, Red Lobster. We all had a great time, and had a good laugh over the dessert they brought her for her birthday. It was just whipped cream with a cherry on top!

Hailey turns 7!

I'm in shock... I can't believe my baby girl turned seven years old. Hailey is an amazing girl. She is so smart and loves to teach her little brother. It makes me smile to hear her reading to Harris. She has a heart the size of Texas. She cares about her family, her friends, and Jesus. Hailey loves to sing, dance, cheer, draw, swim, write stories and tell jokes. She loves anything and everything zebra! At her seven year check up, Hailey measured 48" (exactly 4 foot) and 48 lbs. The doctor told me that she is a very healthy little girl! She is having lots of orthodontic work on her teeth right now. She has expanders on her top and bottom teeth. They cause her lots of problems and pain, but she has been a such a trooper through it all. She really is an amazing girl and she makes me smile every day! I can't wait to see what this year has in store for our princess!

Hailey has attended several of her friends skate parties. So when I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday, she quickly said "skate!". We had a lot of things going on, so I was way behind on getting her party together. Since I sent out her party invitations only 5 days before her party, only half of her friends were able to attend. William was out of town and he missed her party too! But Hailey was so happy to skate and see her friends. It turned out to be a great party!

Kenpo Karate

Harris started taking Karate this summer. At first, he had a hard time getting into it. But now, he is doing great! He has memorized the Kenpo pledge, loves to practice his karate moves.

Labor Day 2010

What a perfect Labor Day, except that William's phone rang! We had plans to go to Dee Dee & Pops, but Willam didn't get to go. He went to N.C. instead. But the kids and I had a great time! We went swimming, got some sun, saw some family, and had the best hamburger, ever!! It was great to see Dee Dee & Pops, Honey, Martha, Jay & the kids, and Sharon with her family. Thanks Dee Dee & Pops for a great day, and burger!
