Clean House!

Yea!!!! With Hailey being so sick all I have wanted to do was clean and disinfect! I decided that since Daddy is home now would be the perfect time to take down the tree. I got the kids rooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining, living room and our bathroom spotless! And thanks to Honey's laundry organizer, the laundry is all done too... washed, dried and put away! It feels soooo good! But of course, those who know me well, know that my bedroom is always the last room to be cleaned. I guess I'll tackle that room tomorrow!

And even though Christmas is gone inside the house... our yard decorations are still out and we are still watching Polar Express (as seen on the tv!).

With all the toys Harris got for Christmas, this toy somehow remains his favorite! He got the train last Christmas and he is still pulling it out and pushing it around the house!

As we were watching the Polar Express, Harris started doing his own rendition of a scene in the movie. I recorded the video below on my new Flip Video Recorder that Wilmo gave me for Christmas!

Sick girl

Oh no!! What a yucky night and day we have had! Hailey woke up at 2 a.m. and came knocking on our door. As soon as William opened the door, Hailey said "I think I'm going to...". Before she could finish the sentence, she threw up all over Daddy. I was standing behind him and ran her to the bathroom. She managed to throw up all over the bathroom on the way to the potty and then slipped in it and fell. She and the bathroom were covered! In between throw ups, I had to bathe her and change her clothes. And to top it off, when she fell she cut her big toe on the edge of our scale!! She threw up for a few more hours until she finally fell asleep. I laid beside her and every time she moved I grabbed a bowl in case she needed to throw up again. She only threw up once more at 10:30 this morning. But she has spiked a 101.2 fever and slept a lot today. She hasn't eaten but we got half a bottle of Sprite in her. Poor girl! She feels terrible and doesn't even want to play with her new toys! Mommy is exhausted too! I couldn't fall asleep last night until about 1 a.m. then woke up with this. William let me sleep from 7 -9 this morning then from 3:30 -4:30 this afternoon! It's 8:30 now and I'm off to put Hailey back to bed then its off to bed for me!!! Hopefully no one else in the house will get this!

Decorating

Ok, so it may be weird, but I had to get myself a Christmas present! I am still working on decorating the house. In Jan this year, we really started working on making this house look like we actually lived here. We have been in the house for 4 1/2 years and still didn't have much on the walls or anything. Now, in the living room we have added curtains and stars on the walls. We got some new furniture and slowly but surely its coming along. Hopefully in 09 I will finally get Haileys room decorated. I feel terrible that she is 5 and I still don't have her room done.
I decided to start small on my decorative wording, to see how I liked it.... I love it!

Christmas Day 2008

Wow! I think Santa Clause attacked our house this year! We had a big Christmas and the kids are having so much fun!

Our house before the unwrapping began...

A couple of Hailey's favorite gifts: She started getting Fancy Nancy books last Christmas and she loves her Fancy Nancy doll now!

Fire Truck!!! Harris wouldn't even look at me to get a picture. He loves his new fire truck; the ladder even extends up and down!

Daddy and his new jersey. This and his new workout suits were among a few of his favorites.

Hailey 2nd favorite gift. Honey gave her this... Doesn't she look like a big girl on her laptop?!

And yes, I'm crying here. I couldn't believe it! I lost the first necklace Wilmo gave me after we were married. I have been so upset about it and waited months to tell him in hopes I would find it. He replaced it for me with one that looks almost exactly like the old one. I love that man! Thank you William!!

Hailey's 3rd favorite gift... her new Gymboree clothes. She brought her clothes to change into at Dee Dee's. She couldn't wait to change! She says this skirt is a mini pettiskirt. I think she looks precious doing her curtsy.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Gift!

This is what my Nana has said to us for many years. For those of you who don't know, who ever says it first on Christmas Eve is supposed to get an extra gift for Christmas. Nana won this year!

Our Christmas Eve was great. William had to work all day, but he was able to make it home in time for church. Our Christmas Eve service ends in candle light and was very beautiful this year. The kids stayed in the kids area until time to light the candle and William went and got them. They loved singing Silent Night and holding the candles. Harris loved blowing his out!

After church we ate Christmas Eve McDonalds in the car. We were going to look at Christmas lights but the wait was so long to get through. So we went home and opened one present each. It's our Christmas tradition to get jammies on Christmas eve. Even mommy and daddy got new jammies! The kids jammies were too cute to pass up! I found them back in the summer and I was so glad to finally see them on the kids! Aren't they cute?!

Gaylord Hotel

Every year I take the kids to the Gaylord Hotel for pictures. We had a lot of fun this year. But new this year, they decided that parents couldn't take pictures of their own of the kids with Santa. That made me sad. I always pay for the Santa picture but I like to take a couple of my own too! Luckily the picture they took came out great. (I'll add the picture here later.)

Harris new excerise

Our cute boy loves his new exercise. He has been doing this for a while but he usually only does it once or twice. Now he tells us he is exercising and does it over and over! He is always making us laugh!

Full day at Jamie's school

Jamie invited us to come up to her school to see Santa fly in by helicopter. Unfortunately, it was to foggy and he just drove in! Then the night before I somehow hurt my eye and I burst a blood vessel in it. It was hurting and looked so bad so I went to the Dr first. I thought we were making it to the school just in time, but a man by a side door called us over and told me that Santa got there early and was about to leave out this side door. As soon as he said it, out burst Frosty, Santa, Rudolph, several elves and Mrs. Clause. We got to take a couple quick pics then they jumped in their cars and sped off! It was fun and the kids loved seeing them. Except, Harris was scared to death of Mrs. Clause! We went on in and ended up eating lunch with the kindergartners. Then several of the kindergartner teachers painted Hailey and Harris up like their students. They were putting on a Christmas musical for the parents.

Christmas party day

On Wednesday both kids had their Christmas parties at school. I had Harris' party at 9:30 and Hailey's at 2:00. (I did manage to get a little Christmas shopping done in between.) I think both kids had a blast at their party! And this was Hailey's last class with Mrs. Heitschmidt. She will have her teacher, Mrs. Wingo, back when school starts back in Jan.

Busy Day

On Sunday we had a really busy day! Hailey had spent the night with Dee Dee & Pops on Saturday and they stayed up till midnight! After I picked up Hailey and got home, Jamie called to invite us to go swimming for Cameryn's birthday. We rushed out to get there. After the party, Hailey and I went back to the Extreme Makeover Home Edition house (she fell sleep on the way there!). This time, they let Hailey and I go into the VIP section since I am part of the March of Dimes. It was so cool! We got a couple of great pics and Hailey loved being so close to the building! I did too! After that we went to Amber Augustin's photo showing. We didn't go in, we stayed back in the shadows. Hailey was so tired and kinda cranky. This made her very nervous of the large crowd and lights. They were taping this for part of the Home Makeover show. I did get to see Ty Pennington though! The pictures of him aren't that good because we were in the shadows and they made us turn off our flash! After all this, we picked up Rosa's for the family and came home for dinner. I had Hailey in bed by 8:30 and I think she was asleep by 8:32!
