A Time to Honor

On July 5th, our church did a service titled, A Time To Honor. They were honoring the men and women in uniform who are currently serving or have previously served our country. They honored these wonderful people who put their lives on the line to protect us from evil and preserve our freedom. The church asked that we bring pictures of our loved ones in their uniform. I was so excited to take William's picture to the church.

It was a wonderful service. After the service we came home and William pulled his dress hat out and let the kids try it on.

Dr. Diane

I have been going with my mom to her chiropractor, to try to fix my hip. It has been hurting so bad lately. It pops in and out of socket and has really become sore. While we were there one day, we started talking about Hailey's constipation issue. Poor baby has been constipated since she was about 9 months old. And with the constipation issue comes a urinary issue too. Dr. Diane thought that maybe if she was adjusted that we may solve the constipation. So, I let her adjust Hailey a couple of times, but we never saw a difference. Then in talking with Dr. Dianne, she said that if the adjustments did help, Hailey would have to be adjusted on a regular basis, forever. William and I decided that this isn't the answer for us. So we continue giving Hailey her daily medicine! One day, she won't have to take the medicine. I just know it.

Harris couldn't let Hailey have all the fun. He had to get adjusted too!

The Paynes

Yay! Amber came to town, the end of June! Well, Amber and the whole Payne crew... Amber, Brittany, Brailey, Brianna, Brendan, and Bryden. Amber and I have been friends for about 15 years! She lives in Austin and I love it when she comes to town!

We met at the Dallas World Aquarium.

The kids had so much fun playing and getting reacquainted. We spent a lot of time playing with a bird that was flying around. The bird loved Brittany! Hailey loved the bird, until it bit her finger!

The kids also loved watching the River Otters.

And of course Hailey and Brendan hit it off again. We are pretty sure it's a match made in heaven!

It was so good to see Amber! I miss her so much!

Harris fell in love with Brittany and followed her around everywhere.

After a full day of the aquarium, the kids were ready to leave and get something to eat...

So, lunch and playtime at McDonald's it was!

MckMuffin

I have recently found a blog, My Charming Kids, through reading yet another blog, Matt, Liz and Madeleine. My heartstings have been pulled reading about little MckMuffin's (Stellan) heart condition. If you have seen this blog, you may already be aware of his dire situation, but for those who aren't please visit this site and pray for sweet Stellan and his entire family. They desperately need all the prayers we can give them!

Happy 4th Everyone!

Our 4th of July started a day early. William got a day off work and we took full advantage of it! We stated off with a calm morning... sleeping as late as we could, then eating breakfast at home. Then it was time to run! We went to Harris' play class then to Dee Dee's house for some pool time! (Thanks Dee Dee!) We were all exhausted so we came home for rest.

Thank goodness we did! After a quick dinner, we ran off to Southlake Town Center for fireworks with friends. We met, Karen and her boys, Michaelle, Eric and their son, and Kristi and Don and their son. After meeting up we had Piccomolo ice cream then went to the lake to watch the fireworks. We were so close to them. It was a great show! But getting out of there and getting home was difficult! We didn't get home till 11:15 pm!

Today we took the kids to McDonald's for breakfast then to Home Depot for the workshop. They got to make a Picnic Basket, but the kids just want to carry their toys in them. We let the kids pick out paint colors and we came home and painted them. Then we rushed out to try a new restaurant, Our Place. It's a lot like Black Eyed Pea. It was yummy and they serve breakfast at any hour. While we had lunch, the kids split a pancake.

Later in the evening, we went to a local church for some food, bounce houses and fun. The kids had fun bouncing and then running crazy in the field. We let them run all their energy out and came home to get ready for fireworks. We changed them into their jammies and went out to the mail box to watch fireworks. What a great day!
