Due to previous circumstances, I have recently looked up blog etiquette. Now, after some comments that I have received, I thought I would post what I found on blog etiquette. I found these wonderful points on Blogaroozer.com. Thanks so much Blogarrozer!

#1. Give credit where credit is due. If you saw a post, meme, idea, etc. that you love and want to recreate on your blog - go ahead. Just be sure to give link love to the person you blogjacked it from.
#2. Do not attack people with negative anonymous comments. If you're going to disagree with someone OWN UP TO IT BY LINKING YOUR NAME otherwise don't comment at all. Leaving negative comments anonymously is a cowardly thing to do. Obviously, you're not going to agree with every post you read by every blogger - but allow others their opinion. It's their blog and they can post what they want to. The purpose of comments in general are to continue the conversation, give encouragement, or thank the person for their hyperlink or thoughts.
#3. Capitalize, punctuate, and start new paragraphs. It's difficult to read blogs that are a single run on sentence. FYI: ALL CAPS IS LIKE SHOUTING.
#4. Don’t blog about something that will get you fired, or cause you to lose a relationship. Unless, of course, you’re fine with losing said job or relationship.
#5.Don’t be long winded. At least too often. There are times when it’s alright to expound a bit. But let that be the exception, not the rule.
#6. Each blog you visit is the Internet "home" of someone. You wouldn't dare walk into a home and run your mouth at the host. It's inappropriate to do on blogs as well. It's just ugly and you end up looking stupid. Don't do it. It's immature.
#7. When I'm considering posting I ask "Is what I'm about to say going to add value to the conversation?" My "opinion" sometimes means NOTHING to the core of the author's post. Therefore I keep my golden brain to myself no matter how great I think I may be at the time.
#8. Do respond to people that comment on your blog. It lets them know you are interested in their opinions and encourages repeat visits.
#9. Do think twice or thrice before you delete inappropriate comments from your blog. Some of your best conversation will come from controversy.
#10. Try to avoid comparing your life with other people's lives.
#11. Introduce yourself when you are commenting for the first time.
#12. If you read a lot of blogs, allow yourself to feel blogligated to no one.

And now a point from me... If you don't like my site, or you are a pervert, or you don't have anything nice to say... PLEASE GO AWAY!! I keep this site for my friends and family to watch our children grow up in our crazy, busy, happy, playful lives.

Our Day with Daddy

Daddy has had to work late almost every day for almost 2 weeks now. The kids and I have missed him so much! Today, we decided to just spend the day together as a family. We all slept late, then had breakfast. I had already promised Hailey that we would go get our toes painted. So, all together as a family, we went to the nail salon.

William and I have been trying to go to new restaurants. For lunch, we decided to try Posados. It was yummy! We loved the free sopapillas!

After lunch and naps we spent the evening playing outside with Daddy.

What an awesome day! We love you, Daddy!

Summer Time Fun

Don't you just love the summer? I love the play dates, the water, throwing the kids in he backyard to play and eating messy foods outside!

Here Paige came over to play for a couple of hours. Since the girls love to play dress-up, Paige brought her own dress!

Hailey & Harris loved the push up pops in the sprinklers the other day, so I bought them some Popsicles. Here is Hailey with her first one. (Harris threw a fit and didn't get one... so sad for him!) Now if they just didn't turn their mouth and teeth different colors!

Harris did get to come out and play in the sprinklers!

Hailey loves Hanna Montana! Especially since her latest couple of songs have come out, Hoedown Throwdown and Ice Cream Freeze. She loves to sing these songs when ever she hears them. The other day in the grocery store, Hailey saw this cereal and went crazy for it. After looking at the nutritional part, I went ahead and got it for her. It's her favorite cereal now! And of course the cereal is pink and purple!

Last year I bought the kids a medium size pool and they loved it. I did too, it was big enough I could get in with them. But it was so big and they get so much grass and dirt in it. I would have so much trouble getting it emptied out and it took awhile to refill. This year I bought a small one and I can dump it every night and clean it out. Yesterday they played outside in it for 2.5 hours before nap and then another 1.5 hours after nap!

Harris is having so much fun playing outside. He is getting so brown! And Hailey is such a beautiful and sweet princess! She loves to pose for me!

Here the kids are finishing up playing in the pool. Since they were covered in grass, I stripped them down and hosed them off before carrying them in to the tub. But I just love their cute lil' nakie bobos! I had to get this picture! They love being naked and were laughing hysterically!

Weekend in a Blur - Father's Day

This week/weekend has gone by so fast! We have been busy busy! I think the busyness started on Wednesday. I took the kids to PDO and I went to appointments. I got done just in time to eat lunch before I had to pick up the kids. The kids loved PDO today, it was Splash Day! Here they are about to go out to the pools.

Then Friday morning, we went to Harris' friend Austin's birthday party. They celebrated in the backyard with pools and water toys. They all had a great time. Happy 3rd birthday, Austin!

The kids were not ready to leave the party so I promised them sprinkler time again. I went to the store and bought them push pops and let them have fun running crazy!

What can I say? We love summer and we can't get enough of water or the pool! Saturday while Daddy was working, I took the kids to the water park. These kids are going to be so brown at the end of summer!

When Daddy got home, we decided to go to Red Hot & Blue for dinner. We haven't been there since last summer. It was good, but the kids were still wound up from swimming!

Sunday: Happy Father's Day!

What a great day! We went to church in the morning then took Wilmo to eat at one of his favorite places, Chipolte! When we were done the kids just started walking next door to get ice cream at Tutti Frutti. We have done this so much, they think its just what comes next. Works for me!

We spent the rest of the afternoon just being with William.

For dinner we met Daddy Don & Nana, Mimi & Grandad, Honey, and Dee Dee & Pops for dinner to celebrate Father's Day.

To William: You are the most wonderful husband & father. The kids & I are so lucky to have you!

To all the other dads out there: We hope you had a wonderful Father's day too!

CRASH!!!

Yikes! William called me this morning a litle after noon, telling me that he crashed an airplane, but that he is OK. (I don't get that phone call every day!) He has a lump on his head where he hit the windshield, but thankfully he is OK. He was taking the airplane out to run the engines. While taxiing it out, the throttle stuck and basically the plane tried to take off. William tried his best to keep the plane under control while trying to bring it to a stop. He ended up taking it into a ditch and into the side of another airplane hangar. He was very happy that he got it stopped where he did. Only about 10 more feet and he would have hit the concrete foundation of another hangar. He is home tonight resting after the scary ordeal and then having to answer lots and lots of questions from the FAA. As you can see from the pictures, the nose landing gear is completely torn off and the nose is ruined. Plus, the one wing that hit the hangar is damaged.

New Bed!

Yesterday, Honey and I took the kids to Dee Dee's pool to go swimming. I think that when Harris swims he drinks half of the pool. When we got home, I decided to put a pull-up on Harris just in case he had an accident in his nap, after drinking all the pool water. It didn't help. He still peed out all into his bed. He soaked through the top sheet, the mattress protector, through the second sheet and onto the second mattress protector! What a mess! So, after I stripped down the bed to do laundry, I asked William what he thought about putting Harris' other toddler bed up. We had converted his crib to the toddler bed last fall, but this toddler bed doesn't have the side rails. We asked Harris if he wanted his new bed and he said a very excited "YES"! So, we did it. We let Harris help with everything and he had a great time 'working' with Daddy's tools! His first night in his new bed went great! He didn't fall out, and he was so happy when he woke up! He kept saying, "I like my new bed!" He is becoming such a big boy!



About 11 pm... my big boy is sound asleep!
